Staff Electrical Engineer | Temp-to-Hire | Industrial / EPC Projects
I am currently recruiting for 3 Staff Electrical Engineers to support large-scale industrial and EPC project work.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity and candidates must be comfortable working on-site in Reno, Nevada during the temporary period, with the ability to relocate full-time if the role converts into a permanent offer.
The role:You will be responsible for the full electrical design lifecycle across complex industrial, commercial and facility-based projects, from early-stage design through to construction support.
Key responsibilities:- Own electrical design deliverables from concept through construction
- Produce permit and construction drawing packages
- Design medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems
- Work across lighting, raceway, grounding, communications and site infrastructure
- Carry out power system studies, short-circuit analysis, arc flash and coordination studies
- Support construction administration, field issue resolution and commissioning
- Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, architectural and construction teams
- Review external consultant designs, specifications and technical bid packages
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer licence, or ability to obtain state registration quickly
- Strong industrial, heavy commercial or EPC project experience
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA and relevant electrical codes
- Experience with medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems
- Proficiency with tools such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, SKM or ETAP
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with field/construction teams
