Student Worker- Engineering Tutor

We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated Engineering Tutor to support engineering students in understanding and mastering engineering concepts.

• Provide tutoring in core engineering subjects such as statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, circuits, fluid mechanics, and/or programming (depending on your expertise).
• Assist students in understanding homework assignments, preparing for exams, and developing problem-solving skills.
• Encourage independent learning and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with other tutors and staff to improve tutoring strategies and materials.
• Back-up front desk when needed.
• Assist with College of Engineering events when needed.
• Participate in social media posts to promote the Engineering Study Hub and the College of Engineering.

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.
• Candidate must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Candidate has earned at least a B in any course you tutor.
• Candidate has been a UNR student for at least one year.
• Candidate is available to work 5-15 hours per week.

• Schedule:
  
  5-15 hours per week.
• Pay: $15.00 per hour.
• Position type:
  Student Employee Level 2 (exempt).
