We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated Engineering Tutor to support engineering students in understanding and mastering engineering concepts.
Responsibilities- Provide tutoring in core engineering subjects such as statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, circuits, fluid mechanics, and/or programming (depending on your expertise).
- Assist students in understanding homework assignments, preparing for exams, and developing problem-solving skills.
- Encourage independent learning and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff to improve tutoring strategies and materials.
- Back-up front desk when needed.
- Assist with College of Engineering events when needed.
- Participate in social media posts to promote the Engineering Study Hub and the College of Engineering.
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.
- Candidate must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Candidate has earned at least a B in any course you tutor.
- Candidate has been a UNR student for at least one year.
- Candidate is available to work 5-15 hours per week.
- Schedule:
5-15 hours per week. - Pay: $15.00 per hour.
- Position type:
Student Employee Level 2 (exempt).
