Application Engineer
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Location:
Reno, NV
Payrate: $30.00 to $36.92 per hour on W2
Job Description:
If you are an Application Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, clients have an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Reno NV manufacturing facility reporting to the Engineer Manager you will produce all information required for producing custom application engineered products for customer orders and quotes. You will also provide technical support for daily jobs, switch racks, and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work with drafters, engineers, and supervisors to produce the required documentation for customer orders or quotes.
- Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
- Send drawings for approval, release order package to production, produce NMRs
- Check drawings and BOM produced by others.
- Ensure application designs meet applicable standards and codes.
- Work with the quotations group, sales group, and/or customers to choose the proper products to meet the customers needs.
- Provide support to manufacturing regarding application engineering designs.
- Provide electrical support and guidance to Drafters and Designers
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience in motor control design, switch gear or switch racks
- Hazardous location standards NEC/CEC/IEC/ATEX
- Hands-on Electrical testing
