Project Engineer (Fulltime permanent with benefits)
We’re seeking a skilled professional to lead building automation projects within a construction environment, with a strong focus on HVAC controls integration.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications- Lead full lifecycle of building automation projects from design through final delivery and handover
- Develop control system drawings, sequences of operations, and maintain accurate as‑built documentation
- Integrate HVAC/mechanical systems with building automation controls
- Review architectural plans/specs to ensure alignment with design and engineering standards
- Select hardware, devices, and vendors; manage procurement, logistics, and installation coordination
- Oversee onsite installation, ensuring safety compliance (OSHA) and quality standards
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and multiple concurrent assignments
- Handle change orders, identify value engineering opportunities, and control project costs
- Coordinate commissioning, third‑party verification, and warranty phase support
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates
- Interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and utilize tools like AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Office
- Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Engineering/Construction Management (preferred) or 4+ years related experience; 5+ years in building controls/construction; strong HVAC knowledge, controls integration experience, leadership skills, and ability to work independently
