, founded in 1995, located in Reno, Nevada, is a leading manufacturer of ultra-compact diode‑pumped solid‑state (DPSS) laser systems with a broad wavelength selection. Crysta Laser is seeking experienced personnel to support a growing business and has the following positions opening.

Job Description:

Laser power supply design. Design analog/mixed‑signal circuits. This includes component selection, PCB layout design, board design and the ability to verify functionality. Responsibilities also include testing prototypes and assisting in the development of production tests, and working closely with laser engineers.

Job Qualifications:

4+ years industrial experience in analog circuit design and board design with PCB layout experience. Strong lab testing skills and problem‑solving skills are necessary. BSEE degree required.

Electronic Engineer is needed by Crystalaser LC. in Reno, NV. Perform duties including design of computer chips, analog/mixed‑signal circuits, and high‑power laser drivers, and implementation. Processing duties include component selection, schematic capture, BOM generation and coordination of design reviews. Technical support in ultra‑compact diode‑pumped electronic products. Drafting confidential descriptions and specifications of proprietary hardware and software, and other engineering duties.

Qualification:

Bachelor in Computer Science with 2+ years experience in electronic engineering.

Job Description:

Develop relationships with current and potential customers. Identify key business opportunities that grow into long‑term OEM accounts and significant sales volume. Must thoroughly understand customer technical and business needs and provide excellent customer service. Must have solid technical background and excellent oral and written communication skills to present and clearly communicate the value of our products and their applications. Work closely with production manager and technical personnel.

Job Qualifications:

4+ years of sales and marketing experience within the laser and photonics industry. BS degree required; physics or optics preferred. Advanced degree is a plus. Fluent English and good communication skills a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to succeed in developing new markets and new accounts.

Job Description:

Laser Technicians have major responsibility for assembling, testing and repairing laser systems using oscilloscopes, power meters, etc. Laser Technicians also must clean and align the miniature optical elements including lenses, small crystals, and fiber‑optic components, inspect electronic subassemblies and the power supply.

Job Qualifications:

Laser technicians need a certificate or an associate degree in electrical, electronic technology or Laser/Electro‑optics Technology, 2+ years of laser, fiber‑optic or optics training, and the ability to work with hands and fingers and good vision. The work also requires the ability to use electronic and optical equipment. Experience with solid‑state lasers is a plus.

Laser Engineer needed by Crystalaser LC. in Reno, NV. Perform designing duties in diode‑pumped solid‑state lasers.

Qualification:

Bachelor in Physics or related optics engineering field with 2+ years solid‑state laser design experience.

Experience with solid‑state lasers. Responsible for designing, specifying, handling, assembling, and aligning systems comprised of miniature optical components including lenses, NLO structures, solid‑state laser materials, and fiber‑optic components. Candidate must analyze, evaluate, and optimize the operational performance of such assemblies and characterize laser performance, improve laser reliability and production efficiency, writing working procedures and developing state‑of‑the‑art solid‑state lasers.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physics or related optical engineering field; 3+ years industrial experience or PhD with 2 years industrial experience with DPSS lasers. Self‑motivated, strong technical writing and communication skills.

Required skills:

Ability to quickly learn various functions; excellent hand and eye coordination. Optics, laser, fiber optics or electronic soldering training is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
