Akkodis is seeking an Application Engineer (Electrical) for a 6‑Month contract position with a client located at 9025 Moya Boulevard, Reno, NV 89506 (Onsite). The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and has experience with AutoCAD.

Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $35/hr - $36.92/hr on W2, no benefits; rate may be negotiable.
Job DescriptionBased at our Reno NV manufacturing facility reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will produce all information required to manufacture custom application‑engineered products for customer orders and quotes. You will also provide technical support for daily jobs, switch racks, and projects.
Responsibilities- Work with drafters, engineers, and supervisors to produce required documentation for customer orders or quotes.
- Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
- Send drawings for approval and release order package to production; produce NMRs.
- Check drawings and BOMs produced by others.
- Ensure application designs meet applicable standards and codes.
- Work with the quotations group, sales group, and/or customers to choose proper products to meet customer needs.
- Provide support to manufacturing regarding application engineering designs.
- Provide electrical support and guidance to drafters and designers.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience in Motor Control Design, Switchgear, or Switch Racks.
- Hands‑on electrical testing.
