Overview
Clean Harbors in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to plan, lead, organize and coordinate the daily operations of the service line crew. This includes responsibility over proper operation of equipment, driving operational efficiencies at the work site and ensuring accurate documentation related to the job is completed in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities- Lead daily service line operations; ensure proper equipment operation, drive operational efficiency at the work site, and ensure timely completion and accuracy of job documentation.
- Read work orders and verify that required equipment is available and operational prior to starting jobs; inspect equipment and the general work area before starting any job.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required; communicate findings to the team and management.
- Train Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service line processes; operate all necessary equipment in accordance with training and safety procedures.
- Ensure health and safety compliance by following policies, procedures and safe work practices; lead safety meetings and ensure HPC safety policies are followed.
- Meet progress deadlines and efficiently utilize resources; lead, instruct, provide feedback, and direct crew to complete work per client requirements and company policies, practices and procedures.
- Enforce company employee policies; may remove an employee from a job when required.
- Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations; safely operate vehicles in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in cleaning areas; ensure proper handling and decontamination of equipment and hazardous materials as required.
- Lead on-site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials where applicable; interface with clients and management effectively.
- Manage project-related vendors; reconcile and review all job-related documentation.
- Be available on-call for emergency response on rotating basis as required; travel overnight up to 2-4 nights per month as needed.
- Perform physical requirements of the role and successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical as required by position.
- Environmental field service operations, construction, manufacturing, or similar industry experience.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 2-4 nights per month and be on-call for emergency response situations.
- Ability to pull a trailer via a pickup truck (preferred).
- Ability to interface with clients and management; ability to manage project-related vendors and documentation.
- Ability to work in confined spaces for periods of time; valid driver’s license; perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Must meet position-specific requirements including background check, drug test, and physical as applicable.
- Experience in industrial emergency response, hazmat cleanup, confined space entry; supervising/working in confined spaces.
- Starting pay $28-$32/hr; comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment including 401K with company match.
