The Program Manager III for Defense & National Security is responsible for management of all phases of program execution. Development of all program management related documentation such as: monthly status reports, PDR/CDR matter, program planning documentation, program management related CDRLs and presentations of program materials to relatively large technical teams and management, subcontractors, and customers. one sentence job summary.
The position reports to the Director of Advanced Technology Programs and is part of the Science & Technologies department based in Reno, NV. This role is onsite or hybrid based in Reno, NV.
In this role, the essential functions are:- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- 10+ years of program management experience which includes seven (7) years managing DOD propulsion related programs
- Prior responsibilities directly related to generating, managing, and owning Integrated Master Schedules, Integrated Master Plans, Earned Value Management
- Direct experience in managing large Subcontracts
- Experience managing programs for the U.S. Government Customers
- Ability to multi-task in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
- Overall knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include:
