Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise, deal assigned games and control pace of game.
  • Adhere to game protection and hotel dealing procedures.
  • Handle all bets on assigned games. Pay winners with Casino gaming chips.
  • Mentally perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately while game is in progress.
  • Deal cards and/or gaming chips to customers at various points around the table, reach for and collect bets and cards during game or at end of hand. Protect assigned game, while providing good customer service.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the game.
  • Adhere to all game controls and procedures (as outlined in the dealer and supervisor department manual).
  • Mentally perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately to calculate change and winning payoffs during live game.
  • Push winning hands to customers.
  • Comply with all State gaming rules and regulations. Have good working knowledge of regulation 6-A.
  • Complete job tasks while sitting, bending, twisting, grasping, stooping, reaching, standing or walking (as circumstances warrant) for 100% of shift.
  • Aide in stocking, moving, or otherwise organizing equipment and materials used for Poker Department, while grasping, lifting (to a height of 4’), reaching for, and carrying materials that weigh from 1-50 lbs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of assigned games is sufficient to correctly deal and protect the game.
  • Able to work with interruptions and to perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to deal with customers and co-workers in a tactful and respectful manner.
  • Can comprehend and follow instruction from Supervisor, or higher authority.
  • Ability to provide guest directions and to teach game skills to novice players.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
  • 1-2 years previous dealing experience and supervisory experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License & Alcohol Awareness card.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, bending over, occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, crouching, and kneeling during the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25lbs or less constantly occasionally.
  • The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and require constant light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
  • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed indoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around moving objects, computer equipment, electrical devices, and other mechanical devices.
  • The noise level in the work environment is loud.
  • Team Member may be exposed to dirt/dust, odor, and/or secondhand smoke.
