Job Description

• Underwriter is responsible for underwriting first Mortgage and Home Equity Lines of credit that fall outside standard underwriting guidelines. A thorough credit analysis and justification for each credit decision is required.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable polices, laws, and regulations, as well as providing good quality credit decisions.

• 5+ years mortgage underwriting experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of consumer credit products in general and residential real estate loan products in particular
• Knowledge of credit underwriting (including Client and FHLMC requirements), quality control processes, and appraisal and title products
• Excellent credit and analytical skills
• Proven track record in consumer credit analysis, underwriting, review, and approval Sound Judgment
• Experience with Automated Lending Platforms Systems strongly preferred
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries and build strong partnerships Financial acumen and proven record of tracking and measuring results
• Strong Client Focus Good Interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organization skills Ability to multi-task daily activities Ability to prioritize daily work flow in order to meet client service needs
• Computer competencies in Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and ability to navigate via the internet
