Kromer Investments is a Growing Real Estate Investor, Developer and Property Management Company, with properties in Northern CA and Reno, NV. We are a family-owned Business with 4,000 rental units under Management and two new Apartment Communities under active construction in the North Reno Market. The Company is a Leader in Smart-Tech living that includes High Speed Internet, Mobile Device controlled door locks, thermostat and lighting in all our Apartment Units.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for Analyzing and Reporting the Financial and Operational Performance of Stabilized, Lease-Up and Development Properties, Budget Variance Analysis, Preparing Financial Statements and Performance Analytics, and Monitoring Compliance with Accounting principles and Regulations. Ability to ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables. This role involves collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and auditors to maintain accurate and transparent financial records.

Successful candidates will have effective communications that can coach, train and implement policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Full charge responsibility for multiple entities (P&L and Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliations)
  • Operations Oriented individual who appreciates Collaboration
  • Collaboration and support for Property Managers and on-site admin
  • Cash reconciliations and attention to various Trust Accounts for Resident Deposits and Restricted Accounts
  • Liaison responsibilities with collection agencies
  • Tenant payment portal and electronic vendor billing support
  • Liaison collaboration with Payroll and Tenant Ledger charges and deductions
  • Property mortgage payments, impound and reserves analysis and reimbursement requests
  • Supporting loan covenant compliance and reporting
  • Collaboration with properties regarding site inspections by lenders and insurance companies.
  • Monitor financial reporting and compliance with joint ventures and outside business ventures.
  • Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, and complying with federal, state and local financial legal requirements.
Required Experience
  • 5
    -7 years’ experience producing financial statements, recording general ledger transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable and 1099’s required
  • Ability to work independently and manage time to meet monthly deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
