Reno Police Department is Hiring Now!

The Reno Police Department is looking to fill 20+ positions at the upcoming Summer 2026 Academy, anticipated to begin in July
2026. Civil Service will begin reviewing applications as they are received. To be considered, candidates must complete a City of Reno employment application with all required documentation and successfully complete all testing with a passing score.

• Graduation from high school or equivalent such as a GED
• A citizen of the United States of America
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• At least 20 years of age

A background investigation will be conducted in order to verify the accuracy and completeness of statements contained on the application and to obtain information relative to predicting successful performance as a Police Recruit/Officer.
