Resident Mentor - Mental Health Tech (MHT) PER DIEM
Willow Springs Center is hiring per diem resident mentors. Applicants should be among the first 25.
ResponsibilitiesResident Mentors work as members of the treatment team alongside mental health professionals, therapists, and nurses in a residential treatment setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Observing patient behavior, monitoring treatment plan effectiveness, and documenting progress in patient charts.
- Assisting with programs, daily activities, recreation, and meals.
- Acting as a role model by demonstrating appropriate behavior and using active listening techniques.
- Establishing therapeutic interpersonal relationships with assigned patients through one‑on‑one interactions to achieve treatment plan goals.
- Protecting patients’ rights by demonstrating professional behavior, reporting violations, and responding to safety issues according to established procedures.
- Transporting patients to and from appointments and outings using company vehicles.
- Making necessary decisions to restrain patients who pose a threat to themselves or others.
Requirements:
Minimum of five shifts per month. Orientation: 2 weeks, Monday‑Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. before starting the work schedule.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year in mental health arena; inpatient or outpatient psychiatry experience preferred.
