Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist

Renown Health is searching for an experienced and passionate Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for providing quality pharmaceutical care, protocol implementation, and code response for patients in the Renown Regional Medical Center and Renown South Meadows Center emergency departments and throughout the hospital as needed. There is an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist present in the ED at Renown Regional Medical Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and at South Meadows 10 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Completion of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) degree from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program or 10 years of experience in acute care pharmacy is required. Completion of a Pharmacy Residency or equivalent training program in clinical pharmacy is preferred.

Experience:

Applicants with previous hospital pharmacy experience will be given preference.

License(s):

Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Pharmacist license (status Active or Temporary).

Certification(s):

Healthcare BLS within the first 90 days of employment is required for all locations. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the first 90 days of employment is required for location 200211, 200212 and 400211.

Computer / Typing:

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Type 25 WPM.
