Position: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Reno, NV, 89503

Shift Notes: 06:00AM - 18:30PM

Start date: 01/05/2026 - 04/05/2026

Pay: $35-$40 per hour

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves administering respiratory therapies, operating life-support equipment, and collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care across various clinical settings.

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis
• Manage and monitor ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and other life-support systems
• Respond to emergency situations, including code blues and rapid response calls
• Perform pulmonary function testing as required
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in electronic medical records
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license (RT or RRT)
• Active BLS certification (ACLS, PALS preferred depending on facility)
• NBRC credentialing required
• Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
