This per‑diem Speech Therapist opportunity offers a convenient schedule. The dynamic individual will administer and directly apply speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. They will evaluate, plan, direct, and treat all patients referred for speech/language pathology to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. The therapist assists patients in achieving maximum performance and community participation, participates in performance‑improvement and CQI activities, ensures personal competency, and contributes to departmental budget considerations.
They will also schedule patient visits, perform administrative duties delegated by the director, and participate in infection‑control, safety and educational programs.
- Upon physician referral, perform patient evaluations to determine problems and goals.
- Assess patient pain interfering with optimal functional participation and notify the physician for intervention.
- Deliver all aspects of patient care in a patient‑safety‑focused environment.
- Formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs; evaluate effectiveness, involving families as appropriate.

- Master’s degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.
- Current state licensure in speech pathology.
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of NICU experience.
