Position Overview
Do you have a passion for helping people achieve their dreams of a growing family? An exciting opportunity awaits at The Nevada Center for Reproductive Medicine, a leading fertility practice in Reno. We are seeking a full-time, experienced Jr. Embryologist to join our growing team.
This role performs IVF embryology laboratory procedures to support consistent pregnancy rates and deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include gamete incubation, insemination, embryo culture, cryopreservation, and micromanipulation techniques in human in vitro fertilization.
This is an exempt position reporting to the Laboratory Director. The position requires limited patient contact and willingness to work some weekends and holidays. Compensation is DOE, starting at $60,000/ year, with comprehensive benefits.

Clinical / Technical Responsibilities- Perform semen analyses; report and record results
- Evaluate sperm morphology
- Prepare semen samples for insemination and IVF
- Perform sperm cryopreservation and maintain cryopreserved sperm inventory
- Assist with sperm aspiration procedures (PESA/TESE) alongside Clinical Providers
- Identify, assess, and culture oocytes
- Perform in vitro fertilization and determine successful fertilization
- Perform embryo culture, assessment, and selection for transfer
- Perform embryo and oocyte cryopreservation, storage, and thawing
- Perform micromanipulation techniques, including ICSI and laser-assisted hatching
- Perform endocrine assays as needed
- Plan IVF procedure schedules
- Perform daily laboratory quality control and documentation
- Complete accurate charting in patient and departmental records
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain laboratory supply inventory
- Assist with additional laboratory duties as assigned
- Perform related duties as necessary
- Maintain clinical service quality by enforcing quality assurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with physicians and management to develop and update evaluation tests, methods, and procedures
- Prepare quality assurance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
- Foster strong working relationships between clinical services and other departments
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with procedures, regulations, and infection-control protocols
- Adhere to medication administration and storage procedures and controlled substance regulations
- Identify and anticipate safety concerns by reviewing operational and environmental conditions
- Support development and enforcement of safety systems, policies, and training
- Comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members
- Attend meetings as assigned and communicate issues appropriately
- Work independently and cooperatively to achieve program goals
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, workshops, and professional publications
- Participate in relevant professional societies
- Contribute to a positive patient experience at every point of contact
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient records and care in accordance with company policy
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related field
- Previous laboratory experience required; experience with embryo and/or cell culture techniques preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in an infertility practice preferred
- BLS certification required
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to fine detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in stressful situations
- Strong interpersonal skills
