Full Time - Eligible for Benefits## Position Purpose The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist plays a pivotal role in advancing patient care through expert clinical practice, leadership, and program development. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining evidence-based clinical pharmacy services that promote safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication use across the institution. The specialist also develops and manages clinical training programs and serves as a key resource in aligning pharmacy operations with institutional goals, regulatory standards, and best practices.##
Nature and Scope The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist requires extensive leadership and clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills. Additionally, they must have a thorough understanding of Federal, State, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist has the authority to plan, develop, and maintain clinical programs, educational initiatives, and training efforts in their specialty area. They should be able to design and implement expanded roles for clinical pharmacists, ensure alignment with organizational goals and initiatives, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes. The specialist must inform their leader and obtain approval before implementing new services, modifying existing programs, making formulary changes, or approving nonformulary addition to clinical oversight of their specialty area, the role encompasses the development and mentorship of pharmacy staff, residents, students, and other healthcare professionals.
The specialist fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by implementing informal and formal training programs, evaluations, and educational outreach.
Familiarity with pharmacy policies, protocols, standard work, workflows, and shifts is necessary to be effective in the role and to assist with staffing when needed.
The ability to give and receive constructive feedback and take appropriate corrective actions is also a key component of the role.

| Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program required. ||
Experience:
| Must meet one of the following:
* PGY2 residency completion plus a nationally recognized form of advanced credentialing or board certification within the first year of employment
* 3 years' experience as a Pharm.
