Tech – MRI

Schedule: Full-Time Nights;
Required to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Location: 6500 Longley Lane, Reno, Nevada;
Sierra Medical Center

Salary: $33.57 per hour to $50.35 per hour.

Summary:

Performs a variety of MRI and diagnostic imaging procedures and is responsible for patient and employee safety protocols. This position functions as the first line interface with customers to accomplish their imaging needs. This position participates in CQI activities as it relates to the hospital and American College of Radiology.

Minimum / Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• Specific experience and training in MRI preferred. Must become ARRT (MRI) licensed within one year of employment.
• ARRT license required.
• Current BCLS certification.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and other hazards to patients.
• Assist with equipment set-up and operation for MRI procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation safety.
• Required to take call / standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.
