This position is accountable for providing quality Occupational Therapy services at Renown Health under the supervision of the Therapy Supervisor, the Manager and ultimately, the Director of Rehabilitation Therapies. This individual provides comprehensive occupational therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in therapy settings across the health system, including their families and caregivers. Services include, but are not limited to, comprehensive evaluation and treatment of self‑care activities, ADL skills, and community reintegration.

This position provides direct patient care, offers input to the interdisciplinary team regarding ongoing patient care, and participates in comprehensive discharge planning. The therapist is expected to provide services interchangeably among “like facilities.” For example, acute care staff may float between inpatient hospital settings, while post‑acute staff may provide services within various post‑acute facility settings based upon census and business needs.

The incumbent must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and families. The position conducts evaluations, develops appropriate plans of care, and provides occupational therapy services through the time of discharge. At times, this position may also participate in program development and outcome measurements in the clinical setting.

• Education: Must have working‑level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Recent graduates who have applied for the registration examination may be considered for provisional appointment.
• Experience: Applicants with experience in physical disabilities, specialty certification or experience in one or more specialty areas is preferred.
• License(s): Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Occupational Therapy License. A provisional license is acceptable until a State of Nevada Occupational Therapy license is issued.
• Driver’s License: Valid State of Nevada or California driver’s license and ability to pass Renown Health’s Department of Motor Vehicles Report criteria and maintain current automobile insurance for the department.
• Computer / Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job‑specific competencies, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
