We are looking for a CVOR Scrub Tech to assist the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures in the Operating Room and Pain Center. The candidate will ensure the operating suite is adequately prepared for each procedure, monitor PAR levels of all surgical instruments and pain management supplies, clean and sterilize all surgical instruments used, and participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

• Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each surgical procedure or endoscopic procedure.
• Accurately completes operating room counts (instruments, sponges, sharps); follows proper procedure in the event of incorrect count; reports all discrepancies to Circulating RN and surgeon, and corrects immediately.
• Carries out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments and procedures.
• Sets up, scrubs and prepares for procedures at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled time unless otherwise directed by Circulating RN, Charge Nurse or Director.

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification required within 6 months of hire, or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
• 3-5 years experience preferred.
• Current BLS Certification.
