Role Overview
Performs two-dimensional and color flow ultrasonic imaging of the body's vasculature for diagnostic purposes. Responsible for adhering to patient safety protocols, complying with regulatory requirements, and participating in quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, relay, and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the medical record.
- Corroborate clinical history with procedures and ensure documentation for licensed practitioners.
- Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and others.
- Evaluate image quality, acquire necessary images, and ensure proper identification for accurate diagnosis.
- Preferably a Bachelor of Science degree; not mandatory.
- At least one year of vascular imaging experience, with specific training in Vascular Ultrasound preferred.
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or eligibility.
- Current BLS certification.
- Availability to take call/standby in Ultrasound as needed.
