Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop long and short-range action plans for the service by pulling, reviewing, and trending current performance measures, standards, and goals.
• Closely monitor, analyze, and interpret all data maintained in various data cubes, dashboards, and reporting structures such as Strategic Analytics for Improving and Learning, Business Intelligence Service Line, and VHA Support Services Center.
• Responsible for constant surveillance, evaluation, and planning to ensure efficient utilization of space based on changing and ever-increasing program demands.
• Serves as the patient advocate for the service by meeting with patients when necessary and composing appropriate, timely correspondence for the director's signature.
• Tracks all full-time equivalent (FTE) and works with HR to update organization charts, justifying any additional FTE.
• Serves as the lead in administering actions concerning merit promotion and position management.
• Discusses, investigates, and responds to employee grievances and dissatisfactions to resolve conflicts.
• Execute the operating budget, prepares budget requests with justifications, and aligns resources.
• Provides direction to the two administrative assistant/timekeepers who cover Ambulatory Care and Ambulatory Care Nursing Services by assigning work, providing guidance, training, and direction, and evaluating performance.
