• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour rotating shifts with varied days of the week

• Work Setting: Fast-paced acute care hospital serving a broad regional population, including critical care and emergency services
• Additional Scheduling Needs: Weekends, holidays, floating within competency, and occasional additional shifts may be required

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Active Nevada respiratory therapy license in hand before submission
• Required Point-of-Care Analyst, Point-of-Care Director, or General Supervisor authorization before start, as applicable
• At least 1 year of professional respiratory therapy experience, with 2 or more years of acute care respiratory therapy experience required for this assignment
• Successful completion of at least one prior 13-week travel assignment
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates before start
• Ability to care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as assigned
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures according to established protocols and provider orders.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care for patients across a broad range of ages and acuity levels.
• Provide direct respiratory care primarily in adult critical care and general acute care settings, with additional assignments based on department needs and demonstrated competency.
• Initiate, modify, transition, discontinue, or restart respiratory therapies within approved protocols as patient conditions change.
• Monitor cardiopulmonary status and communicate changes promptly to the interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate patient records, department logs, treatment documentation, and related clinical reports.
• Deliver a positive patient experience by introducing yourself, explaining procedures, setting expectations, and providing compassionate respiratory care.
• Participate in service recovery by listening empathetically, addressing concerns, and escalating issues appropriately.
• Remain current with respiratory care technology, clinical practices, and applicable patient safety standards.
• Float to other clinical areas within demonstrated competency and support coverage needs, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
