Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, located in Reno, Nevada, is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to manage the banquet department and ensure the successful execution of events.
Responsibilities- Supervise Team Members engaged in all aspects of the banquet department.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
- Assist and work closely with management to ensure the success of events on a daily basis.
- Prepare and administer coaching and counseling to Team Members in the absence of the manager or assistant manager.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels on a daily basis.
- Provide input on purchasing equipment for the department.
- Provide input on scheduling and staffing needs.
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings after checking BEOs for changes.
- Inspect all rooms to ensure 100% accuracy and a pristine environment for guests.
- Ensure that all equipment is stored and secured in designated storage areas.
- Ensure side work sheets and checklists are posted.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bakery, and audio‑visual to ensure all requirements are met and in proper working order.
- Responsible for training new Team Members and providing follow‑up training.
- Resolve guest complaints.
- Act as Banquet Manager in the manager’s absence, conducting all related duties.
- Directly supervise 15–20 Team Members in the Banquet Department.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and train Team Members; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Physical demands: stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- One year of education from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of time‑keeping systems and purchasing software is a plus.
- Must obtain an OSHA 10 card.
- Must be able to drive a single‑man lift.
- Must adhere to all grooming standards; no visible tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors.
