Construction and Engineering
- Lead recruitment initiatives for senior and specialized positions within engineering, procurement, and construction, as well as roles related to design engineering and environmental health and safety.
- Partner with executives and hiring managers to clearly define job responsibilities, organizational structures, and role levels prior to initiating recruitment processes, including the introduction of new functions.
- Create and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract construction and engineering talent in the Reno and Sparks regions, targeting positions such as superintendents, field engineers, and project managers.
- Adjust recruitment strategies based on market trends and data-driven insights to optimize candidate engagement.
- Manage searches that are crucial to achieving significant company milestones, including certification programs and the launch of new facilities.
- Ensure a smooth hiring process from the initial intake stage to the job offer, delivering an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
- Collaborate with the embedded team responsible for high-volume operational hiring to foster a cohesive recruiting function across the organization.
- Maintain a proactive approach to candidate engagement, ensuring timely communication and feedback throughout the hiring process.
- Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make informed adjustments as necessary.
- Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance Redwood Materials' visibility as an employer of choice in the industry.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment to continuously improve our hiring processes.
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting within sectors such as construction, engineering, energy, manufacturing, or mining.
- Knowledge of recruitment for engineering, procurement, and construction projects, particularly in the context of battery energy storage systems or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven success in filling complex roles, including those that are newly created within the organization.
- Ability to attract and engage skilled construction professionals in a competitive labor market.
- Strong grasp of job leveling and compensation structures, with the ability to effectively communicate these concepts to executives and candidates.
- Excellent judgment in managing a high-volume recruitment workload and articulating trade-offs to leadership.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, particularly Greenhouse, to streamline recruitment processes.
- Willingness to work onsite in Northern Nevada and travel to various project locations as needed.
- A strong commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, aligning with the company's mission.
- Experience in recruiting for renewable energy projects or companies focused on sustainability.
- Familiarity with labor market trends in the Northern Nevada region.
- Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices in recruitment.
- Proficiency in additional HR tools or software that enhance recruitment efficiency.
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems and recruitment software, particularly Greenhouse.
- Strong analytical skills to assess recruitment metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
Compensation for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
