Job OverviewThe Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including benefits and leave, training on company policies and HR procedures, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Assists in the implementation and creation of employee recognition programs.
- Support routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Build trusted partnerships with team members through consultative and collaborative efforts.
- Provide guidance to management to promote and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Guide management in the application and interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Support, facilitate, and create a broad array of HR initiatives including the implementation of programs and processes.
- Support the HRBP with the Company’s learning and development (L&D) program. Including but not limited to the creation, facilitation, and tracking of L&D programs.
- Create accurate and compliant job descriptions.
- Support the HR Manager in team member career planning to encourage employee satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with planning and coordinating employee events.
- Primary support for all HR positions within the department.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
