Media Webmaster

The Center for Student Engagement is seeking a motivated student to serve as Media Webmaster, supporting the ASUN Student Media team and university departments in maintaining and improving our web presence.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the ASUN Student Media websites and the Nevada ASUN website.
  • Develop and implement new features and functionality for the websites using Word Press.
  • Ensure the websites are up-to-date, secure, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate with the ASUN Student Media team to meet organizational website needs.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students who use the websites.
  • Manage web hosting and domain management for the websites.
  • Install, manage, and maintain Word Press plugins and themes.
Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.
  • Major in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Apple Macintosh computers, macOS, and Mac hardware.
  • Knowledge of web development, Word Press, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with plugin management, web hosting, and domain management.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with JavaScript and PHP.
  • Preferred:
    Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Preferred:
    Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
Schedule & Compensation

Expected hours per week: 15. Compensation Grade:
Student Employee Level 1, Exempt. Full‑Time Equivalent: 37.5%.
