Job Description
UNR is hiring a student worker for the Office of Information Technology Support Center as a Help Desk Technician. Student technicians will provide frontline technical support to students, staff, and faculty over the phone, chat, or in person.
Responsibilities- Assist users with technological troubleshooting over the phone, chat, or in person.
- Log interactions through the ticketing system.
- Research solutions using available resources such as the OIT Knowledge Base.
- Direct and transfer calls from internal and external guests as a Campus Operator.
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to assist customers with common and uncommon technology‑related issues.
- Customer service experience (IT experience not required).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, and Apple macOS/iOS.
Desired hours: 15 per week.
CompensationStudent Employee Level1 – $15.00 per hour (Exempt)
