Job Overview
The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) School of Medicine’s Department of IT is seeking a student worker to join the Med IT Helpdesk team. The role involves providing phone and chat support for medical school operations, communicating solutions clearly, and routing complex issues to IT technicians when necessary.
Responsibilities- Field and resolve or triage support calls and chat inquiries.
- Create and manage support tickets.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Currently enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.
- Basic understanding of modern enterprise business technology (operating systems, enterprise applications).
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Available for summer work.
Up to 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during summer and winter breaks, with a flexible schedule based on class availability. The Med IT Help Desk operates Monday‑Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
CompensationGrade Student Level 1: $12.25/hour.
