IT Technician

Responsibilities

• Installation of PC hardware for end users.
• Assistance with installation of advanced networking hardware and software under direction of the system administrator or helpdesk supervisor.
• Perform routine tasks such as backups or other operational tasks as defined.
• Perform preventative maintenance on PCs, printers, and other hardware.
• Install service releases and perform routine maintenance on desktop applications.
• Implement virus protection, detection, and elimination.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems for end users.
• Provide basic training on hardware and software use.
• Facilitate assistance from hardware and software vendors when necessary.
• Maintain licensing information for all desktop applications and operating systems.
• Ensure compliance of licensing agreements at the user level.
• Document end-user hardware and software installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, licensing, configuration, and network connectivity.
• Perform duties with little or no supervision.
• Assist in room setup for catering and casino events.
• Set up and operate casino and audio equipment.
• Pull low-voltage cable.
• Assist in additional projects.
• Prepare progressive reports for all work performed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1–2 years experience in IT preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in a high-paced environment.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with personal computers, servers, and related technology.
• Familiarity with AS/400 concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other desktop applications.
• Familiarity with Windows, Unix, OS400, and other operating systems.
• Ability to use ladders continually.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must adhere to grooming standards; no visible tattoos, piercings, or unnatural hair colors.

The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk; may lift up to 50 lbs.
