Entry-Level IT Support Technician

Location: Reno, NV (On-site)
Job Type: Temporary / Project-Based (30–45 Days)
Pay: $15–$20/hour (DOE)

We are seeking an Entry-Level IT Support Technician to assist with a short-term technology deployment project. This hands‑on role involves setting up desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and other office equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical IT experience. No programming or software development experience is required.

• Unbox, assemble, and install desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and related peripherals.
• Connect power, video (HDMI, Display Port, VGA), Ethernet, USB, and other cables to the appropriate ports.
• Set up workstations by connecting equipment to power sources, networks, and peripherals.
• Organize and label cables to ensure clean and professional workstation installations.
• Perform basic functionality checks to verify equipment powers on and is properly connected.
• Move and position IT equipment at designated workstations.
• Track deployed equipment by recording serial numbers and asset tags.
• Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the project supervisor.
• Follow written setup guides, deployment instructions, and project checklists accurately.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment throughout the project.

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
• Ability to identify and connect common cable types, including power, HDMI, Display Port, VGA, Ethernet, and USB.
• Comfortable following detailed instructions and completing repetitive setup tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently after initial training.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work under desks during equipment installation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Previous experience with IT support, computer setup, hardware installation, or technical deployments.
• Coursework, certification, or self‑study in IT fundamentals (such as CompTIA A+).
• Experience working in warehouse, office, or technology deployment environments.
