Amazon is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. The role requires working with minimum supervision, driving the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks, and assisting in the development of innovative automation and scaling solutions.
Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
- Install fiber and copper cabling, patch cabling between equipment.
- Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
- Travel within and outside of the regional work area as required.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical or vocational role such as computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management.
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Experience with medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within a work environment.
- Knowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- USA, AZ, Avondale – $30.00 – $54.00 USD hourly.
- USA, NV, Reno – $30.00 – $54.00 USD hourly.
- USA, VA, Chantilly – $30.00 – $54.00 USD hourly.
Base salary range listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
