- 10 years of experience managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.
- 10 years of experience leading operational or project-based work and tasks, and developing and deploying processes to mitigate risk.
- 10 years of experience coordinating or leading security, and experience planning security operations or strategy for security programs.
5 years of experience managing incidents and crises.
- 3 years of experience with data center technologies, infrastructure, and methodologies.
- 3 years of experience with physical security system architecture, components, installation methods, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing a geographically dispersed FTE and contracted workforce.
As a Data Center Security Manager, you deliver full pieces of a project and make significant contributions with minimal guidance. You use your knowledge of security technology, data analysis, and data visualization to plan efforts of a team responsible for small to medium sized initiatives, delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You contribute to cross-team collaborations, identify and recommend multiple creative ways to solve defined problems, and demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars.
You also engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations, making Google a better place to work.
- Manage daily operations of vendors providing services including security, training, and risk management for one or multiple cross-functional technical infrastructure locations.
- Act as a single point of escalation for defined security-related incidents having uncertain solutions.
- Drive security work to ensure one or more technical infrastructure locations are in compliance with all regional governmental and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Develop cross-functional strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and maintain an appropriate security posture.
- Perform complex risk assessments and provide feedback to internal design teams for a variety of highly secure facilities.
US: $159,000 - $231,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
