The University of Nevada, Reno's Office of Information Technology is recruiting for multiple student worker positions within the Unified Communications (UC) department.
A successful candidate must be driven, innovative and effectively communicates within a team environment both in person and digitally.
Responsibilities
- Conduct E911 audits to verify telephone and Teams endpoint locations, confirm Emergency Response Location (ERL) information, identify discrepancies, and update documentation
- Data intake/validation, Tier 1 customer service, and some basic technical support for all UC service requests
- Work on documentation or training materials to increase efficiency and consistency within the context of customer service and technical support
- Independently work with customers to fix routine telecommunications issues, troubleshoot general set-up or repair issues, and document issues and resolution in the OIT ticketing system
- Ticket triage to other groups or departments
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Candidate must have the ability to lift 50lbs
- Candidate must have the ability to go up and down a 10+ ft ladder
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with the ability to identify cable colors to punch network jacks down are encouraged to apply
Schedule
Expected hours to work per week: 20
Compensation Grade
Student Employee Level 2
$16.00/hr
