Rate of Pay: $128,731 annually + DOE

Summary

The Manager of Business Intelligence leads the development, governance, and delivery of enterprise dashboards, reports, metrics, scorecards, and analytical products. This role connects clinical, operational, financial, quality, and executive stakeholders with technical teams to translate organizational needs into accurate, standardized, actionable information. The position oversees Business Intelligence standards, reporting governance, stakeholder engagement, analytical delivery, and adoption of enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enterprise Business Intelligence & Reporting

Lead development and delivery of enterprise dashboards, reports, scorecards, metrics, and analytical products.

  • Own Business Intelligence reporting standards, design principles, usability standards, and report lifecycle management.
  • Lead intake, evaluation, prioritization, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics requests.
  • Support executive, clinical, operational, access, quality, financial, regulatory, and service line reporting needs.
  • Evaluate existing reporting and retire obsolete, duplicative, inconsistent, or unsupported analytical products.
  • Promote standardized and scalable reporting solutions rather than fragmented departmental reporting.
Business Requirements & Analytical Decision Support

Gather, analyze, and document clinical, operational, financial, executive, quality, regulatory, and strategic reporting requirements.

Translate business requirements into dashboards, reports, scorecards, metrics, analytical products, and technical specifications.

  • Partner with organizational leaders to identify appropriate measures, analytical approaches, and reporting solutions.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, stakeholder validation, and business approval prior to implementation.
  • Analyze reporting needs and recommend solutions that balance business value, technical feasibility, standardization, and sustainability.
  • Support organizational initiatives requiring cross-functional analytical and reporting capabilities.
Reporting Governance, Metrics & Data Quality

Lead metric definition, business-rule documentation, data-dictionary development, reporting governance, and business data-quality processes.

Establish consistent definitions and methodologies for enterprise performance measures.

Ensure dashboards and reports use approved data sources, business rules, calculations, and reporting standards.

Coordinate validation of reporting outputs with Finance, clinical, operational, quality, and other subject-matter experts.

Identify reporting discrepancies and partner with Data and Engineering and source-system owners to resolve underlying data issues.

  • Maintain documentation of metrics, reporting logic, ownership, definitions, and analytical methodologies.
Analytics Adoption & Operational Partnerships

Partner with clinical, operational, executive, quality, and departmental leaders to improve the use of data in organizational decision-making.

Train stakeholders and support adoption of enterprise dashboards, analytical tools, and governed self-service reporting.

  • Partner with Data and Engineering on technical feasibility, shared data assets, semantic models, system performance, and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with Finance to connect operational, clinical, workforce, and financial performance.
  • Partner with Information Technology and application teams regarding source-system reporting requirements and system changes affecting analytics.
  • Promote data literacy and effective use of analytical information throughout the organization.
Leadership & Analytical Standards

Supervise, develop, and prioritize the work of assigned Business Intelligence analysts, developers, and other analytical staff.

  • Build a high-performing Business Intelligence team through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, cross-training, and professional development.
  • Establish priorities and allocate resources based on organizational strategy, reporting demand, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
