Risk Manager/Analyst
Position Overview
ITS is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical individual to join our dynamic growing team. The Sr. Administrator is responsible for leading the management of claims across all operational lines of coverage, including Auto Liability (AL), Truckers General Liability (TBL), General Liability (GL), Cargo, Physical Damage, and Contingent Cargo and Workers Compensation. This role involves processing claims, coordinating with carriers, customers, or insurance companies, to ensure timely and accurate claim resolutions.
The administrator will work under the general guidance of the Claims Manager and collaborate with various internal teams.
- Claims Management
- Leads claims processing for all operational lines of coverage (AL, TBL, GL, Cargo, Physical Damage, Contingent Cargo) within designated time frames.
- Leads the review of inbound claims to assess the level of risk and takes appropriate actions to report and facilitate each claim.
- Interfaces with carriers, customers, vendors, insurance representatives and internal teams to obtain the facts, explain the claims process to set the expectations for each party to ensure full recovery of losse
- Leads claims processing for Workplace Injury claims.
- Ensures timely reporting, both internal and external.
- Interfaces with employees, operations, human resources, payroll, insurance representatives, and external parties to facilitate all aspects of a claim.
- Facilitates OSHA tracking data accuracy and reporting (monthly, annually)
- Initiates first response actions and coordinates with Claims Manager and Director of Risk & Compliance to ensure proper communications are established.
- Leads the collaboration activities with the carrier and operational teams to deploy incident recovery resources (tow, cargo recovery, etc.) and perform incident investigations
- Collects and organizes all necessary information to support claim activities and ensures timely insurance notifications.
- Assists Capacity & Network Optimization team to investigate and report fraudulent Carrier activities (theft, double brokering, etc.).
- Reviews Critical 1 & 2 incidents to determine corrective action to be taken to mitigate or eliminate future events.
- Leads the tracking of claim expenses against deductible or Self-Insured Retention (SIR) and report to Finance monthly to accrue high-value claims.
- Leads the tracking and reporting of “At Risk” claims to all internal stakeholders, including, but not limited to Finance for monthly accrual of unrecoverable losses.
- Ensures the accurate application of Carrier A/P holds to ensure recovery of any claim costs on behalf of customers and ITS.
- Reports all A/P holds to accounts payable to ensure data integrity across both departmental areas of responsibility.
- Continuously reconciles the “prepaid claims” GL account
- Responsible for reporting Claims related performance metrics through iNergy development.
- Executes process improvement recommendations to ensure functional excellence in the deployment and utilization of the iNergy Claims Management System.
- Responsible for the ongoing design, implementation and presentation of Enterprise training related to Claims and Risk topics.
- Responsible for training Claims Administrators on all claim processes for each line of coverage.
- Participates as a member of the Enterprise Safety Council
- Develops and revises SOP’s applicable to all areas of responsibility
- Provides support to generate COIs, and issues “Gap” Insurance Policies (additional insurance) as required.
- After-hours “on call” requirements to support Critical Events activities.
- Other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Claims Manager or senior leadership.
- 1-2 years of compliance (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). risk management, claims management or contract administration experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of general accounting practices preferred
- BA or BS degree (preferred but not required) in business, logistics, legal, and/or related field.
