Taylor | Anderson LLP is looking for an exceptional paralegal to join our nationally recognized litigation defense firm. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of its growing Reno, Nevada office, supporting a team of partners and associates in our litigation practice.
Taylor Anderson is a fast‑paced litigation firm focusing on insurance defense cases. We represent clients across the country, and our paralegals are a key part of the litigation team, including attendance are seeking candidates who are reliable, work well under pressure, remain flexible, and are proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and work independently in an exciting and fast‑paced environment is a must.
Experience managing large volume insurance defense matters is preferred.
- Preparing, analyzing, and responding to discovery requests
- Reviewing and summarizing medical records and deposition transcripts
- Legal Research using Lexis Nexis
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
- Communicate with fact and expert witnesses in the development of the case and in preparation for trial
- Trial preparation including trial exhibits, charts, trial notebook, voir dire, jury instructions, verdict forms, trial subpoenas, etc.
- Attending trial and managing presentation of evidence using trial presentation software
- Overnight travel with litigation team may be required for trial attendance
- Minimum of 3-5 years of civil litigation (trial experience preferred)
- Experience managing all phases of complex litigation
- Must be highly proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Excel and Power Point
- Experience with Net Documents and Tabs 3 preferred
- Experience with Trial Director presentation software is a plus
