Temporary - Simulation Lab Assistant

Job Overview

The Orvis School of Nursing Program at the Lake Tahoe campus is looking for a temporary, hourly Simulation Lab Assistant to provide operational support for simulation and skills lab activities. Training will be provided.

• Prepare and reset simulation labs and skills labs for scheduled activities.
• Organize, stock, inventory, and maintain simulation supplies and equipment.
• Transport supplies and equipment between the Tahoe and Reno campuses.
• Assist with basic simulator setup, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment.
• Follow university policies and safety procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.

• Experience in healthcare, simulation, education, inventory management, customer service, equipment setup, or related fields.

• 20 hours per week; schedule varies (Mon‑Fri) based on lab activities.
• Primary work location:
  Lake Tahoe campus; periodic travel to Reno campus.
• Compensation: temporary hourly (research exempt); equivalent to 50% full‑time.
