Monte Vista Animal Hospital — an AAHA-accredited, locally owned, founder-led veterinary practice in Reno, Nevada — is seeking a Practice Operations Coordinator / Practice Administrator to oversee daily operations and people management.

This role is designed for someone who values consistency, accountability, and teamwork
. You will help uphold the Owner’s established standards, culture, and vision while ensuring the practice operates efficiently day to day. This is not a role for reinventing the practice — it’s a role for strengthening and maintaining what already works.

As the Practice Operations Coordinator / Practice Administrator, you will:

Oversee daily operations across clinical and front-office teams

• Manage staff performance, accountability, and professional development
• Conduct performance reviews and support corrective or disciplinary processes as needed
• Ensure consistent application of policies, protocols, and operational standards

Oversee scheduling frameworks and staffing coverage

• Manage vendor relationships and operational expenses within defined budget guardrails

Ensure HR compliance and accurate documentation

• Serve as the primary escalation point for staff concerns and interdepartmental issues

Reports directly to the Owner / Medical Director

Holds full authority over daily operations and people management

Makes decisions within owner-defined policies and budget parameters

• Brings strategic or structural changes to ownership for review and approval

• Experience in veterinary, healthcare, or service-based operations leadership

Comfort working in partnership with a strong, detail-oriented founder

A calm, emotionally intelligent, and consistent leadership style

The ability to hold teams accountable without micromanaging

Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills

Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
