Operations Manager HVAC​/Plumbing

{Company Name} is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to serve as a key member of our leadership team and the #2 leader in our growing residential HVAC and Plumbing business.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations while helping develop and execute strategies that support business growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement. This position will lead and develop teams across field and office operations, improve processes and systems, and ensure the organization is positioned to scale successfully.

• Partner closely with the General Manager to execute business strategies, achieve company objectives, and drive sustainable growth.
• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to field and office teams, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.
• Lead, coach, and develop managers, technicians, installers, and support staff to maximize individual and team performance.

• Oversee day-to-day operational performance across residential HVAC and Plumbing service and installation operations.
• Implement and improve processes, procedures, systems, and tools that increase efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability.
• Monitor key operational metrics, identify trends and opportunities, and develop action plans to improve performance.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational support to meet business demands.
• Partner with department leaders to improve technician productivity, labor efficiency, quality workmanship, and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable industry requirements.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions that support continued business growth and scalability.

• Ensure teams consistently deliver a high-quality customer experience throughout the service and installation process.
• Support the resolution of escalated customer concerns and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Monitor customer feedback, callbacks, quality issues, and other indicators of customer experience.
• Partner with leadership to establish and maintain high standards for service delivery.
• Partner with the General Manager to achieve revenue, gross profit, and profitability objectives.
• Monitor operational expenses, labor costs, productivity, and other financial performance indicators.
• Analyze business performance and develop action plans to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure teams understand financial and operational goals and are accountable for achieving measurable results.

• Partner with the General Manager and sales leadership to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve conversion, expand customer relationships, and strengthen market performance.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure operational capacity and execution support continued business growth.
• Help develop scalable processes and infrastructure to support future expansion.

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a college degree and/or 8+ years of experience in residential HVAC, Plumbing, home services, construction, field service, or a related industry, with significant leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing day-to-day operations in a service-based environment.
• Strong understanding of field service operations, including scheduling, dispatching, labor utilization, productivity, and customer service.
• Preferred experience includes direct or indirect experience within residential HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or another high-skill technical trade.
• Experience working with financial and operational KPIs, budgets, and profitability metrics.
