Overview
Vista Reno is looking for talented, energetic Digital Printer (Press Operator) to join our manufacturing plant in Reno, NV.
Working hours will be Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM. Pay rate: $32.03/hour.
Must have industrial printing presses experience - knowledge of running/operating industrial printing presses; basic understanding and knowledge of color management is a plus; strong attention to detail.

POSITIONSUMMARY
This position is a fully skilled, technical printing role which includes manual and automatic setup of digital printing presses and other finishing equipment for various printed products. Responsibilities include equipment/process preparation, producing customer orders to meet quality standards and performance metrics, performing quality checks, troubleshooting, and press operator maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Adhere to all safety protocols and expectations, including identifying critical safety elements, bypasses, interlocks, and emergency stops.
- Demonstrate knowledge of substrates used to print products, including proper storage, labeling, and troubleshooting.
- Perform daily FOA tasks prior to and after printing; ensure proper use and management of all printing supplies and consumables.
- Identify job details and specifications in assigning substrate and placements with equipment interface print-finish properties.
- Set up equipment (print and coat) to production-ready status and complete required shutdown/EOS process steps.
- Understand gang and process elements that influence the make-ready process and follow sequencing, batching, and WIP control.
- Apply OEM training to perform at the highest level and meet metrics related to print adherence, reprints, efficiency, and non-production.
- Consistently perform standard in-process checks during production and identify CTQ failures and primary causes through the print quality interface. Follow SCW (Stop Call Wait) if product quality is out of tolerance.
- Perform autonomous maintenance and support proactive and master maintenance plans to maximize line availability.
- Identify and manage press events influencing operational effectiveness and document them in related interfaces (e.g., OEE, Webshell).
- Perform basic troubleshooting and support shared maintenance activity. Follow SCW if availability loss is > 20 minutes during initial troubleshooting.
- Immediately notify Shift/Area Leadership or Management of safety incidents (e.g., building/racking damage, spills, injuries).
- Ensure daily on-time arrival; adhere to lunch/break schedules and work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area; conduct daily 5S activities.
- Complete all personal training requirements; support the training of press operators and production operators as assigned and as experience permits.
- Other duties as assigned by Shift/Area leadership/Management.
- Ability to perform normal sitting and standing activities.
- Ability to stand, lift, push, and pull for long periods (up to 12 hours/day).
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs independently, and up to 50 lbs with team lift.
- Ability to read and write basic and comprehensive documents in English and speak English fluently.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn quickly.
- Strong communication skills to verbalize challenges, roadblocks, and delays.
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree/credits a plus.
