Overview
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Assembler - 3rd Shift at our Reno, NV facility. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00pm to 6:30am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory rate for this position is $22.00.

- Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
- Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices
- Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
- Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction
- Remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots from work pieces using grinders, brushes or scrapers
- Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
- Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas
- Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor
- Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility
Basic Qualifications:
- No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with manufacturing fabrication.
- Demonstrated welding ability / knowledge - A welding demonstration is preferred
- Set-up and troubleshoot welding equipment
- Examine and measure work pieces for defects and to ensure conformance
- Ability to weld aluminum and steel
- Ability to read blueprints and shop orders. Responsible for safety, quality, production quotas, and all documentation associated with product movement and confirmations
Position Success Criteria
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English
- Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
- Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
- Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day
- Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
- Able to regularly lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance
- Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas)
- Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity
- Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents
