Metal Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hard-working Metal Work Technician. This position is responsible for preparing and modifying aluminum components for production projects in coordination with the Engineering, Quality Control (QC), and Production Management.

This position requires precision, a solid understanding of measurements and mathematics, and adherence to all safety protocols, including OSHA and company PPE standards.

• Perform metal fabrication tasks including punching, cutting, and prepping aluminum for production.
• Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to understand project needs and modifications.
• Coordinate with the QC department to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance standards.
• Work closely with the Production Lead Supervisor to prioritize and complete daily tasks.
• Use various metalworking tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Measure and mark materials for cutting and assembly using mathematical and measurement skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company PPE policies at all times.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in metalwork or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and work orders.
• Proficient in using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must comply with OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE at all times.

This position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse setting, with exposure to loud noises, metal dust, and machinery. Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
