Job Summary

The Ops & Logistics Technician, Level 2 supports both the Operations and Production Control Manager in executing logistics tasks, receiving, material handling, and storage of aerospace components across the Reno and Lovelock facilities. Responsibilities encompass facility operations and maintenance support (including tooling and test equipment maintenance and repair), Ammunition & Energetics (A&E) handling, property management, quality support, and shipping and receiving. This role focuses on programs in the production phase of the product life cycle and relies on experience and sound judgment to organize, plan, and accomplish program and operations objectives within the constraints of prescribed work instructions and travelers—on schedule.

The Ops & Logistics Technician, Level 2 will also assist in the development and creation of standard operations policies and procedures, and actively support continuous improvement initiatives across Reno Facility Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of in‑process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform receiving, material handling, and storage of aerospace hardware in accordance with applicable work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Execute shipping and receiving activities, including documentation, labeling, packaging, and shipment tracking.
  • Support Ammunition & Energetics (A&E) handling, storage, and transport in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with property management activities, maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting audits and physical counts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records using company systems (e.g., travelers, checklists, shop floor control systems, shipping and property documentation).
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; perform typical warehouse and logistics tasks including pallet packing and driving product between facilities.
  • Kit parts and materials to traveler and work order requirements, ensuring accurate counts, correct configurations, and proper documentation prior to issuance.
  • Issue kitted materials to the production floor in accordance with work orders and build schedules; coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve material shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support facility operations and maintenance, including tooling and test equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Follow all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and environmental regulations; work in controlled areas when required.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operations policies and procedures.
  • Participate in cross‑training and continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.
  • Work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.
  • May require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing required PPE.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or precision assembly manufacturing.
