Salary Range: $21.00 To $21.00 Hourly
Position OverviewThe Laminator Assistant will support the setup and operation of the laminator by performing various manual and mechanical tasks. Key responsibilities include checking glue, cleaning laminator components, loading/unloading film, maintaining the work area, and assisting in other tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the laminator.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules and regulations, and wear required safety equipment. Identify any unsafe conditions or improper machinery operations and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel. Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
- Laminator Setup: Assist the Laminator Operator in preparing the laminator for operation, including obtaining the correct adhesives, setting up the lay-down roller, and loading film.
- Routine Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning tasks, such as washing components to remove glue, scraping as necessary, and reinstalling clean parts. Use acetate when required.
- Assisting in Operations: Support the operation of the laminator by monitoring glue consumption, assisting with film loading/unloading, cutting and preparing roll cores for new film rolls, taking product samples, and printing labels as requested. Monitor product quality during the operator’s absence or other duties, as experience allows.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep the laminator area clean by sweeping up film debris, emptying waste containers, and removing waste product from cores. Weigh and dispose of waste as required.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Be available to cover the Operator’s lunch breaks.
- Adapt to working various shifts based on business needs.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for using basic hand tools.
- Basic computer skills and math proficiency.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure with accuracy to 1/16”.
- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours daily on concrete flooring.
- Exposure to continuous noise, strong odors from materials, bright lighting, and machinery with moving parts.
- Ability to lift materials and pallets weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Physical activities include squatting, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting.
- Vision acuity for color recognition (Ishihara test) and hearing acuity within normal limits.
- Typical manufacturing and production facility environment.
- Continuous exposure to noise, material scents, bright workstations, and moving machinery.
