Maintenance Technician – Night Shift (7PM–7AM, 2-2-3 Schedule)

Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining proper functioning of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging and processing equipment, utility systems, and following all OSHA and facility‑specific protocols (including LOTO, Arc Flash, etc.).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Perform the proper function of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging and processing equipment, and utility systems.
- Successfully perform troubleshooting on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems.
- On call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations as necessary.
- Accurately read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform preventative maintenance (i.e., conducting computerized preventative maintenance check‑ups or reading SPC charts and data) as needed.
- Ensure proper function of the line manufacturing support systems (line/lube delivery, resin delivery, process systems, operational support).
- Accurately complete and document work orders promptly in CMMS to maintain high‑quality standards.
- Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees; notifying them of problems and/or concerns that may restrict production efficiency.
- Complete all paperwork in a clear, legible, and accurate format, including all required information and documentation following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by checking parts out of inventory and assigning them to the proper work order, report low supply levels to Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including maintenance shop.
- Adhere to Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
- Identify Critical Control Points (CCP).
- Abide by all safety standards and protocols set forth by OSHA and Pregis.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others.
- Promote positive teamwork culture.
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with team and during shift transition.
- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, following standardized work instructions and adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures as outlined at Pregis.
- Perform all aspects of the position to the highest quality.
- Know all safety requirements of the position before starting any job.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the company.
- Take personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and / or assisting in the correction of any safety hazard identified.
Exposure to moving equipment. Humidity may exceed 80%. Personal Protective Equipment required.
(Up to 50 lbs.) Occasional typing/keyboarding.

Education and Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Associate’s or Technical School Degree in Mechanics, Electrical, Computer Science, preferred.
