Position: Assembler II (2nd Shift) - Cable Tray

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking an Assembler II (2nd Shift) – Cable Tray position at our Reno, NV facility. The rate for this position is $22.73 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential. Overtime may be required at times.

Core hours are Monday through Friday 2:30pm–11:00pm.

Salary is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and business factors.

What you’ll do
  • Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components.
  • Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips, and other fastening devices.
  • Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams.
  • Handle 50‑pound parts with or without accommodation to assist with large part construction.
  • Support all facility continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, including but not limited to:
    • Maintain 5‑S throughout shop floor and office areas.
    • Track and sustain visual management tools such as layered audits, OEE boards, and other LEAN tools.
    • Encourage, support, and actively participate in kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
Qualifications
  • No relocation is available; only candidates that currently reside within 50miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical limitation.

Skills
  • Able to operate machinery and presses safely.
  • Able to read and accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
  • Able to work effectively and productively as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand on feet continuously, lift, and bend during the working shift with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds without assistance with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
