This role focuses on manufacturing residential cabinets in a fast-paced production environment, with a strong emphasis on professional paint spraying and wood finishing. You will apply stains, glazes, and spray finishes to wood products, ensuring consistent tone, color, and overall quality while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Responsibilities- Apply paint, glaze, stains, and spray finishes to wood products and residential cabinets.
- Ensure consistent tone, color, and appearance across all finished wood components.
- Operate woodworking and production equipment such as saws, sawmills, CNC routers, moulders, and other machinery as needed.
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure precise cuts and fits.
- Identify and work with different types of wood, adjusting techniques to achieve optimal finishes.
- Use hand tools and power tools for sanding, cutting, and preparing wood surfaces prior to finishing.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of tools, materials, and finishes.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Support overtime and Saturday work during busy seasons as required.
- Experience as a paint sprayer working with wood stains, with proven ability to maintain consistent tone and color.
- Ability to identify various types of wood and understand how they respond to stains and finishes.
- Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for sanding, cutting, and general wood preparation.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods in a production environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and consistent results.
- Reliable work habits, including punctuality and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Manufacturing, assembly, or woodworking experience preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production setting.
- Familiarity with painting, glazing, and finishing processes for wood products.
- Comfort using a variety of hand tools and power tools in a woodworking environment.
- Ability to work overtime, including half-day Saturdays, during busy seasons.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a woodworking production plant that operates in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting. You will work primarily on a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with half-day Saturdays and overtime during busy seasons. The environment involves regular use of woodworking machinery such as saws, sawmills, CNC routers, and moulders, as well as hand tools and power tools for sanding, cutting, and finishing wood.
You will spend most of the day on your feet, handling materials and operating equipment in a shop‑floor setting where maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety is essential
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
