Description
Position SummaryThe Material Handler is responsible for the accurate movement, storage, and shipment of finished goods and materials within a fast-paced cold chain manufacturing environment. This role requires proven forklift operation (stand-up preferred), strong inventory accuracy, and experience with shipping/receiving processes and systems. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must be capable of performing core responsibilities with minimal supervision from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Operate stand-up forklift (Raymond or similar) safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trailers with accurate product verification (SKU, quantity, condition)
- Execute shipping and receiving processes, including Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation
- Perform system transactions using scanners/WMS with high accuracy
- Stage, move, and store materials to support production flow
- Conduct inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in all work areas
Required Qualifications (Level 2–3 Entry)
- 2–4+ years of hands-on forklift experience (stand-up preferred)
- Proven experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations
- Ability to use scanners or WMS systems independently
- Demonstrated track record of inventory accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in cold/freezer environments
- Accurate shipments with zero errors in BOL or product counts
- Safe, efficient forklift operation with no incidents
- Minimal supervision required for daily tasks
- Consistent performance under production demands
